2nd tryouts for kick routine

Hi Parents!

I just wanted to make everyone aware that I will be holding tryouts for our kick routine for a second time this Wed, Nov 7th at practice.  This is due to some injuries as well as a lack of work ethic.  I am hoping that this will help some of the girls that have gotten a spot in kick the first time, realize that you STILL have to work hard to keep your spot.  Please make sure your girls are practicing as well seeking additional help from captains if necessary.  I honestly do not like making cuts, but this is a competitive sport and it is important for these girls to learn the value of working hard to earn their spot on the competition floor.

Also, we will be having a parent preview night sometime the week after Thanksgiving break.  I will let you know once the school approves a date when exactly that will be.

I sent home account balances with the girls last week so hopefully you have all gotten those from them.  Karen Buraston does not keep track of individual Tri-Del accounts, so if you have a question or need the balance please contact me instead of her.  The last payments will be due Wed, Nov. 28th in order for the girls to be eligible to compete or even travel with the team to competitions.  Not only their Tri-Del balance, but all other school balances must also be paid for them to be eligible.  Unexcused absences will also make them ineligible, so please make sure to call and excuse your daughters when they miss school.

Since Halloween has come to an end, the team is now on a healthy kick :)  The girls all commit to each other to not each sugar, soda, or junk food.  There are not specific guidelines and it is not a diet.  This is just something that we have all found to be effective when it comes to this busy competition season.  Endurance and energy really increase when the girls commit to sticking to the healthy kick.  Please help your daughters by buying healthy snacks and encouraging healthy habits.

One last thing... Great Basin is not far off, so please make sure you know what your assignments are and that they are getting done in a timely manner.  Competition season is so much fun and the girls and I are so excited for it to be here!  Finally all the hard work will start paying off :)  Please remember to stay positive for the girls through all the stress and remind them to do the same.  (I will also be doing the best I can at staying stress free and remaining positive)!!!

I really really really appreciate all you parents and all the time and money you guys put into this program!  You guys are really a great group of supportive parents and it makes me so happy!
Thanks!!  Please come to me with questions and concerns :)
